A Peek Inside The Pink Coral Community
Here’s a little peek at some convos and wins from the Pink Coral Community, and what being part of it actually looks like day to day for our members, both online and at our monthly in-person meetups.
Three years of Pink Coral Community
What started as a small idea born out of loneliness has grown into a supportive, in-person business community for quietly ambitious women. This is how it all began, and the journey that brought us here.
The Fear of Getting It Wrong (And How It Quietly Holds Us Back)
Anyone else live with that low-level fear of getting it wrong?
If you’re like me, or one of those quieter, more thoughtful types, you probably suffer with this a lot. Even the tiniest thing can feel huge when your brain likes to replay conversations, decisions, and “what ifs” on a loop.
Maybe you recognise yourself in some of this…
Why Running a Solo Business Feels Lonely – And How Community Changes Everything
I don't know about you, but I think that one of the hardest things about running a solo business is the loneliness. Not having many people around who actually care about your day-to-day, what you’re building, or the little things that feel like huge wins to you.
But I know one thing that makes it all feel easier, more manageable and more fun… and that’s community.
Community Over Competition (And Why We Don’t Do One-Seat Policies)
Someone recently said to me:
“Sorry, I haven’t been to your networking event. Someone else who does the same thing as me goes there.”
I told her honestly that we don’t have a one-seat policy, and that our events are about women supporting women, even when they do similar work.
But what I really meant was this…
It’s Not the Size That Matters… It’s What You Do With It
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what we’ve built here at Pink Coral. And honestly? I’ve not given it the recognition it deserves.
We’re a community of just 20 women right now – small by most people’s standards, but what we’ve achieved together is bloody incredible. Proof that small really can be mighty.
When Community Becomes a Funnel: Why So Many Women Feel Burned by “Access-Based” Memberships
Have you ever joined a business membership community because it felt like the missing piece?
Like maybe this time it would be different.
This time you’d feel supported.
This time you’d feel less alone.
And at first, it feels bloody great.
You feel seen, hopeful, and you think, finally, I’ve found my people.
Then slowly, you start to notice that the community isn’t really a community after all. It’s a funnel, and you’re the product.
Why You’ll Love Being Part of Our Online Membership (and Heartbeat App)
We all love free Facebook groups and social media… until we don’t. Posting consistently, trying to build a genuinely engaged audience, and actually turning all that effort into sales can be exhausting. That’s why our Pink Coral online membership in the Heartbeat app exists. It makes connection, community, support, and promotion actually doable.
What Actually Happened at Our Small Guildford Meetup
A recent Guildford meetup was smaller than usual due to a few last-minute cancellations. I’ll be honest, at first I felt a bit bummed. You know that moment where you think, “Great… now the new visitors are going to think this is it?”
But after giving myself a head wobble, I remembered exactly why I love small meetups. And why I started Pink Coral in the first place.
You Can’t Rock Up Once and Expect Magic: Why Networking is a Long Game
Let’s talk about something I see all the time...
You go to a networking event (maybe one of ours), chat to a few fab women, sip a cuppa, leave feeling pretty chuffed... and then wonder why no one’s messaged to work with you the next day.
In the world of service-based businesses, it’s not just about what you do – it’s about who you are.
Is It Just a Chat? (Spoiler: Absolutely Not.)
You know that thing where someone pops along to a networking event, has a lovely time, vibes with a few women… and then later says:
“It was really nice, but I’m not sure what I actually got out of it?”
Totally fair. Especially if you’re used to the more traditional kind of networking that’s super structured.
But just because there weren’t any powerpoints, business card swaps or forced referrals, doesn’t mean there weren’t opportunities. The opportunities are there. They’re just a bit more subtle. A bit more human.
Reclaiming the Word Networking (Yep, I Said It)
You know that word… networking.
The one that makes most of us inwardly groan and picture stuffy vibes, awkward intros, and someone droning on about targets, while you politely smile and pretend you’re having the best time.
I used to hate it too.
But here’s the thing: I’ve changed my mind.
We are a network – just not the kind you’re thinking of.
Quietly Ambitious: How Introverts Navigate Success Differently
If I had to describe the women in the Pink Coral Community, I’d say we’re “quietly ambitious.”
We might not be the loudest ones in the room or going viral online, but we’re definitely ambitious, following our passions and doing things our own way!
Finding my voice as an introvert
I usually shy away from labels but “introvert” suits me perfectly. I like staying in over going out. I prefer smaller, more intimate groups over big groups. I love a deep conversation rather than meaningless small talk.
Desperately Seeking Realness: Welcome to the Pink Coral Community
In a world filled with filters, curated content, and unrealistic expectations, the hunt for authenticity has never been more important. People are craving realness, genuine connections, and a safe space to be themselves.
